Two years ago I decided to get over my doubts and fears, and start a blog. It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for a while, and been encouraged to do by friends, family, supervisors, and just about anyone who knows me. I’ve wanted to start blogging but wanted to have a plan first. What will I blog about? How often will I blog? How will I attract attention to my blog? What if my blog’s no good?
I decided to let go of those things.
At least for a while.
I read somewhere that blogging is about storytelling. “Blogging is about having a platform to express yourself. It’s a place to let your expertise and passion show through.” I plan to do just that.
Let’s get to who I am.

In a less formal capacity, I’m a young, black millennial who loves writing. Whether it’s a short story, an anecdote with a comedic twist, or my personal thoughts on racism in today's society, I love getting my thoughts on paper.
I love reading equally as much. Growing up, I always loved writing, and the same is true for reading. Suspense/thriller is my favorite genre but I read other pieces of fiction as well. I can't get enough of books.
I also enjoy family-friend time, solving Sudoku puzzles, and shopping in my spare time.
Now, why am I here?
To share my writing, obviously.
What I hope to accomplish with my blog: sharing my ideas/voice, becoming a better writer, and gaining credibility.
When I first launched my blog a couple years ago, it was as a plus size blogger who has grown to love my body and myself more than ever. I wanted my blog to serve as an inspiration and help teach others to feel confident in how they look, and to wear whatever they want and feel amazing while doing it. My goal was to show that curvy women are just as stylish, sexy and amazing as everyone else.
While blogging, I noticed I had the urge to share things in addition to body positivity, including personal stories, short stories, reviews, interviews, recipes. I'm learning that there's more and more I want to share with my readers, and show all ranges of my writing.
That being said, I recently revamped my blog. Just a bit, to make it less body positive/self love focused. Those topics are still important to me, but I have so much to say and don't want to limit myself to one specific topic - though there's truly nothing wrong with that. I'm learning that that's not the route I want to take anymore.
Now I'm done rambling, but before I close I want to share a few fun facts about me, Thee Sierra B.
10 Fun Facts About Me:
One of my favorite books is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
I do not know how to whistle.
